John "Tom" Busch

John "Tom" Busch, age 65, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away, peacefully at home surrounded by family, on Monday, February 15, 2021 in O'Fallon, Missouri. He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on September 3, 1955 to John and Dolores Busch (nee Schwartz).
Tom was happily married to his "Everything", Karen, for 45 amazing years. Tom and Karen did everything together, from puppy mill protests to chemotherapy. He loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed a good family adventure. His happy place was anywhere they were; whether it was a hayride, out on the lake in his boat, camping with his three-wheeler, or on a beach in Mexico.
He was a kind-hearted man who respected honesty above all else; if you were honest, you'd find a friend in him. He will be remembered for his love of family, hard work and, dedication to the betterment of animal welfare.
Tom is survived by his wife, Karen Busch; his mother, Dolores Busch; his children, Danielle (Sean) Sweeney, Jamie (Justin) Swier and John B. (Lindsay) Busch; an honorary daughter, Christina Sloan; and his grandchildren, Austin Busch, Abigail Sweeney, Madison Swier, Tyler Swier and Alice Busch; and his sister, Teresa (Mark) Sommer. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John C. Busch; and his granddaughter, McKinley Swier.
A memorial service will take place at a later date.
