John Civili

John Eugene Civili, age 67, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 in St. Charles, Missouri. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 22, 1953 to Paul and Ruth Civili (nee Schaefering).

John, a lifelong learner, music lover, and proud Italian, enjoyed cars, golf, fishing, hunting, and skiing. He worked hard to provide for himself and his family, spending 27 years at Hill-Behan lumber working in sales and in the back office.

Nothing was more important to John than his family. His love for his parents, brothers, sisters, wife, and children was unmatched. John would do anything for his kids, taking them to St. Louis Blues hockey games and supporting them in anything they wanted to try, whether it was sports, the arts, or anything in between.

Through everything John showed all those he loved how to be tough but caring. Despite his long battle with his health, would always be seen smiling, laughing, or cracking a joke because above all else it was important to him that all those he loved were happy and well cared for.

John is survived by his wife, Carlene Civili, brother, Paul (Mary) Civili, brother, Walter (Martha) Civili, sister, Diana Civili, sister, Vivian (Mike) Knipp, son, Joe Herman, son, Nicholas (Jane) Civili, daughter, Alexandra (James) Lewallen and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Ruth Civili; and sister, Aleta Civili.

Memorial Service will be 10:00 am Friday, March 5, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Visitation will be Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
