John "Alan" Fader, born on September 30, 1950, in. St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2024, at his home in Defiance, Missouri. He devoted 51 years of his professional life as a HVAC technician at Schneider Service Company and Matheny H and C, where his dedication to his craft earned him the respect and admiration of his coworkers and clients alike. His work reflected not only his technical skill but also a profound commitment to service that he practiced throughout his life.
Alan was known for his generous spirit and readiness to assist others. Colleagues and friends alike often remarked on his willingness to lend a hand, embodying a sense of community that was deeply rooted in his personality. His greatest love was undoubtedly his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Sheila (Beynon) Fader; daughter, Stacey Scrogin; son-in-law, Ken Scrogin; son, Michael Fader; and cherished grandchildren, Carson Scrogin and Quinn Scrogin. Alan is survived by his siblings, Bill, Jim, and Laura (Fader) Bond along with his numerous nieces and nephews and sister in law and brother in law, Mary and Tom Bradley.
Alan is preceded in death by his loving parents, Carl and Frances Fader.
A man of diverse interests, Alan found joy in home projects, fishing, and solving puzzles. His passing leaves a void that will be felt deeply by all who knew him; he will be profoundly missed.
Visitation will be held on November 10, 2024, from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Alan's legacy of kindness and dedication will continue to resonate in the memories of those who loved and admired him.
