John Albert Molina, 62, of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, Missouri.
The son of John Albert and Anna Jane (Hengstenberg) Molina, he was born April 4, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri.
In December, 1977, he married Marie Buzzetta and they divorced 11 years later. They remarried on February 20, 2011 and she survives.
Also surviving him are one son, John Paul Molina and his companion, Chrystal Montgomery; one daughter, Dawn Brandenburg and husband, John; one granddaughter, Sophia Rosemarie Molina; his mother-in-law, Geraldine Buzzetta; brother-in-law, Matthew Buzzetta and wife, Carryl; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He also leaves to mourn his passing, his faithful animal companions, his dog, Baby and two cockatiels, Bengi and Yadi.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Vito Buzzetta and sister-in-law, Judy Buzzetta.
John grew up in Holy Name parish area of north St. Louis. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, receiving an honorable discharge following an injury. He worked various jobs including beer delivery and as a deputy sheriff until 2002 when he began his employment with the United States Postal Service in St. Peters. He loved all sports, the St. Louis Cardinals, history of all kinds but especially St. Louis history, and was an avid reader, writer and jokester. He was of Catholic faith.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 8, 2016 at All Saints Church in St. Peters, Missouri. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 (636-875-1200). Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in care of his family.
