John L. Russell, age 63, of Saint Charles, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born in Rockland, Maine on March 8, 1958 to Donald and Mary Russell (nee Duff).
John is survived by his Children, Taylor Ann Russell, Sydney Catherine Russell, and Danielle (Carey) Jones, Grandchildren, Jolene Jones, Logan Jones, Cooper John Jones, Siblings, Ruth (Ron Grass) Smith, Catherine Russell, David Russell, Nieces, Jennifer (Tobey Young) Fifield and Miranda (Randy Simmons) Jandreau, Great-nieces, Isabelle Fifield and Josie Pendleton, Great-nephews, Owen Pendleton, Jacob Fifield, Wyatt Jandreau, Close Friends, F.J. O'Hara, David Hoch, Jim Vitale and a host of other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Donald Russell and Mary Lou Russell; Sister, Jeanne Russell; Grandmother, Iva Russell; and Nephew, Thomas Fifield.
John was a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and proudly served his country as a career Naval Officer, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Commander. His main focus in life was his daughters. He was their biggest fan and supporter in all aspects of life. John was a friend to everyone he met and his one of a kind personality will be remembered fondly by everyone who knew him.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 16, at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 with officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at St. Peters Chapel. Services will be Thursday, February 17 at 8:00 am, at St. Peters Chapel. Interment to follow at Jefferson Barracks.
