Johnnie M. Rogers, a dedicated husband, father, and friend, passed away on January 23, 2025, at the age of 74. Born in Oklahoma City, OK, on August 22, 1950, Johnnie led a life marked by service, commitment, and love.
A proud Vietnam veteran, Johnnie served with the United States Navy for 23 years, earning respect and admiration for his steadfast dedication to his country. His military service deeply influenced his life and values, and he remained a passionate advocate for veterans as a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
After retirement from the Navy, Johnnie went on to work for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing as a Quality Assurance Specialist for the F-18 program. Johnnie carried forward his work ethic and resilience into every aspect of his life. He was known for his kindness and generosity, traits that were evident in his interactions with family, friends, and those in the community.
Johnnie is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly "Gail" Rogers, who was by his side throughout their journey together. He treasured his role as a father to his children, Richard (Amy) Leech and Patricia Rowley. His legacy will continue to live on through his grandchildren, Joseph Condor, Derek Leech, James Leech, Alexandra Leech, and Damon Rowley, all of whom brought him immense joy.
He is also survived by his dear sisters, Elizabeth Martin and Mary Wittner, who provided love and support throughout his life.
Johnnie M. Rogers was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Opal Rogers, and his brothers, Joseph Rogers, and William Rogers.
A celebration of life will take place on April 5, 2025, from dusk until dawn, please feel free to come and go as you please. The celebration of life will take place at 2085 Wolf Penn Hollow Lane, Wright City, Missouri 63390.
The impact of Johnnie's life will be felt for years to come, and his spirit will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
