Joseph Ditter

Joseph Boyd Ditter, age 76, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 in Saint Peters, Missouri. He was born in Saint Louis , Missouri on March 24, 1948 to Joseph and Myrtle Ditter (nee Shannon). 

Joe loved spending time with his family and friends.  He often grilled for everyone as they swam in the pool he took care of but never enjoyed himself.  In his younger years, Joe enjoyed flying, working in the yard, and bowling.  He was a skilled handyman; one that everyone called when they needed something fixed!  He also put these skills to use when building airplanes, putting together puzzles, and tinkering in the garage.  Joe had a story for every situation.  He loved hearing others' stories as well.  Some of his fondest memories were of his childhood years in Hawaii.  Throughout their marriage, Joe and Rose opened their home to friends and family in need.  

Joseph is survived by his wife, Rosemary Ditter; his son, Jim Ditter; his daughter, Angie (David) Hahn; his grandchildren, Tori Ditter, Taryn (Matt Price) Ditter, Zachary Ditter, Madison Ditter, Samuel Hahn, and Katherine Hahn; his sister-in-law, Diane Ditter. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Boyd Ditter, Sr.; his mother, Myrtle H. Ditter; his son, Sean Ditter; his sister, Toots (Duke) Weise; and his brother, Jack Ditter.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 5:00 p, all on Friday, June 28, 2024 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.
