Joseph E. Lange II, age 77, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 . He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on November 2, 1945 to Joseph and Dorothy Lange (nee Rose).
Joseph grew up in Malden, Missouri. He attended high school at Western Military Academy in Alton, Illinois. After high school, Joseph enlisted in the United States Navy. While in the Navy, he served on the USS Belknap during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged from the Navy after the Vietnam War and enrolled in college at Washington University. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business. Shortly after leaving the Navy, he met his future wife, Christina. Together they had two children, Angela and Joseph III. He worked in corporate America for 17 years. His second career was as a home improvement contractor, carpenter and cabinet maker.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Christina Lange; his daughter, Angela R. Lange (Robert J. Warden); Son, Joseph E. Lange III (Priscilla Nyx); his brother, Thomas Lange; and a many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph E. Lange; and his mother, Dorothy E. Lange.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at West County Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 2211 Clarkson Rd, Chesterfield, Missouri 63017. A graveside service and burial will take place at 10:30 am at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125.
For those attending the graveside service everyone will be gathering at Sylvan Springs Park on the corner of Sheridan Road and Boundary Road at 10:15 am to process to the cemetery.
