Joyce Hermann, a radiant spirit born on July 16, 1933, in Saint Louis, Missouri, left this world peacefully on December 23, 2024, surrounded by her cherished family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose joyous presence and nurturing heart touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Joyce embodied the virtues of love and humility. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her daily and inspiring those around her. She found profound joy in singing with the choir at Saint Norbert Catholic Church, where her melodious voice resonated with deep devotion. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will forever be etched in the hearts of her family.
As a mother, Joyce was a source of encouragement, instilling invaluable values in her children: Joyce (Jim) Kruetz, Roy (Pam) Hermann, Debbie Elliot, Beverly Hermann, George Hermann, Janice VanSloan, and Richard (Linda) Hermann. Her commitment to family was unwavering, and her joyful spirit continued to shine through her grandchildren—Jenny, Bryan, Jimmy, Amy, Jody, Johnna, Jason, Tabatha, Alli, Ashley, George, Amber, Stephanie, and Jillian—and her great-grandchildren—Jameson, Ella, Peyton, Bradlee, Dillon, Camden, Madison, Ethan, Jackson, Willow, Robert, Charlotte, Titan, Sofia, Ariana, Jaclyn, Nadya, Kaitlyn, Kamden, Kingston, Jaysha, Jonathan Jr., Jayden. Joyce was also blessed to welcome her great-great-grandchild, Amelia, into her loving embrace.
In addition to her vibrant family life, Joyce pursued many interests that brought her joy. She relished time spent bowling, cooking, and golfing, and fondly reminisced about her younger days dancing with her husband. A devoted fan of the Saint Louis Cardinals, her family delighted her on her 90th birthday with tickets to the Diamond Club at Busch Stadium, a memory she cherished dearly.
Joyce's earthly journey was woven with both joy and sorrow. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, George P. Hermann; her son, Michael Hermann; her parents, Raymond and Christine Hermann; as well as her siblings, Raymond Broduer and Louise Anderson. The love of family and faith she embraced throughout her life will continue to guide those she leaves behind.
Visitation for Joyce will be held on December 29, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM, at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri.
