Joyce Carolyn Moore

Joyce Moore, age 82, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022. She was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on November 15, 1940, to Roy and Berniece Russell. Joyce was baptized on May 3, 1953, and confirmed in June 1962 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in St. Louis.

On June 20, 1964, she married Edward Moore at St. Matthew Lutheran, St. Louis, MO. They celebrated 58 years of marriage.

Joyce held a variety of jobs, including a preschool teacher at Glendale Lutheran, a customer service representative for Southwestern Bell, and United Telephone when Ed's career took them to Jefferson City in 1980. She was a proud member of Trinity Lutheran Church, volunteering at the annual chili dinners and spaghetti suppers. Ed and Joyce moved to St. Peters in 2007, transferring to Zion Lutheran Church where their daughters and their families worshiped.

Joyce loved being a wife and mother and she loved Jesus. She had a strong faith and set an excellent example for her kids with faithful worship and Bible study.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Ed; son, Tim (Carolyn) Moore of Bloomington, IL; two daughters, Vickie (Gary) Adams and Jill (Doug) Walker of Saint Peters, MO; seven granddaughters, Jaime (Connor) Georgopulos, Jane Moore, Kate Adams, Megan Moore, Maddie Moore, Avery Walker, Addie Walker; sister, Judy Becker; as well as four nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shirley Neumann.
