Joyce W. Napoli, age 89, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020 in O'Fallon, Missouri. She was born in Stewart, Tennessee on December 10, 1930 to John and Lula Miller (nee Barnes).
John and Jean were married in 1957 and purchased a home in Saint Louis, Missouri. John was a member of Bricklayers' Union Local No. 1 and an executive board member for 25 years. He loved his Union. Jean worked for a law firm until her two sons were born. She later worked at local retail firms, J. C. Penney and Famous-Barr, over the next 25 years before retiring. Upon John's passing she moved to Saint Peters, Missouri to be closer to her two sons and her grandchildren. June would have been the 65th anniversary of their marriage if John had not passed. After retiring Jean's passion was her new home, gardening, traveling and doing things with her four grandchildren.
Joyce is survived by her sons, Joseph (Kathy) Napoli, and John Napoli, Jr.; her grandchildren, Alexandra Napoli, Allisyn Napoli, Abbigail Napoli, and Clayton Napoli; her siblings, John (Connie) Miller Jr., Ronald Earl (Wilma) Miller, Shirley Jeannette (William) Kipp, and Gloria Fay Lane; and her sister-in-law, Janet French-Miller. She will be missed by many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Napoli Sr.; her father, John Gilbert Miller; her mother, Lula Emma Miller; her daughter-in-law, Vivian Napoli; and her siblings, Betty Louise (Ellis D) Skaggs, Martha Laverne (John C) Freeman, and Charles Edward Miller.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 (636-875-1200). The funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Newcomer . Interment will follow the service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
