Joyce Ann Sullivan, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on January 21, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on February 20, 1951, Joyce was a vibrant spirit whose love for her family and passion for life were evident in all she did.
Joyce was a devoted wife to Edward Sullivan, sharing a bond that was endearing in its affection. Their relationship blossomed with shared moments, laughter, and playful nicknames inspired by her deep love for the television show "I Love Lucy." Joyce's husband affectionately called her "Lucy," while she lovingly referred to him as "Ricky," illustrating a connection filled with warmth and joy.
As a mother, Joyce took great pride in her three daughters: Kelly (Raymond) Cardwell, Katherine Sullivan, and Kimberly (Steve) Kutchback. She guided them with love and support, establishing a nurturing homemaker role that her family will always cherish. Her legacy continues through her six grandchildren: Emily (Ben) Johnstone, Jackson Cardwell, Chloe Sullivan, Samuel Sullivan, Lily Kutchback, and Kaden Kutchback, as well as her two great-grandchildren, Milani Sullivan and Millarose Sullivan. Joyce found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, crafting memories that will be forever treasured.
Joyce was also a sister to Judith Dreisewerd, and Linda (Robert) Buckles with whom she shared a special bond over the years. With a love for cooking, she was known as an excellent cook, often preparing meals that brought family and friends together. Additionally, Joyce enjoyed watching classic Westerns a reflection of her spirited personality and appreciation for wholesome entertainment.
She is preceded in death by her father, Egbert Bishop; her mother, Agnes Bishop; her grandchild, Taylor Sullivan; her brother, Donald Bishop; and her sister, Jeanette Pettyjohn. Joyce’s departure leaves behind a profound impact on her family and friends, who will remember her lively spirit and the love she so freely shared.
Joyce Ann Sullivan’s visitation and funeral service will be held on January 29, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. The visitation will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 4:00 PM. All who knew her are encouraged to come together to honor her life, reflect on her legacy, and celebrate the beautiful moments she contributed to the lives of those around her.
