Juanita D. Bellm, age 98, of Florissant, Missouri passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021. She was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on October 19, 1922 to William and Viola Diebel (nee Pritchard).
Juanita married the love of her life, Leonard Bellm, in 1949, which is the point in life where Juanita would say her life began. Together they had 6 children, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Juanita was a devout Catholic. She and Leonard were active members of St. Lucy Parish until his passing in 1989. Juanita then moved to Florissant and became a member of St. Dismas Catholic Church. She became very involved in senior activities. Juanita enjoyed many things in life including: swimming, exercise, bowling, playing cards with friends, dancing singing, playing games with her grandchildren, and cheering on the Cardinals & Blues. Most of all Juanita enjoyed being a mother and grandmother.
Juanita is survived by her children, Robert (Janet) Bellm, Richard (Sharon) Bellm, Joyce (Greg) Kelly, Jeanne (David) Spotanski, James (Charlotte) Bellm, Jayne (Greg) Bauer; her grandchildren, Gwen (Ken) Garth, Amy Bellm, Jacob Bellm, Katie (Troy) Compardo, Tracy (Jake) McCullen, Carly (Jarrod) Pegue, Joel (Ashley) Kelly, Jeff (Kim) Kelly, Dana (Tim) Vomund, David (Sara) Spotanski, Laura (Blake) Wellington, Laura "Lulu" Bellm, Anthony Bellm, Steven (Kellie) Bauer, Samuel Bauer and Sydney Bauer, many great-grandchildren; her sister, Evelyn Barylski. She will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Diebel; her mother, Viola Morehaeuser; her husband, Leonard Bellm; and her brother, Harry Huffendick.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Saint Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Mass will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 403 N Main St, O'Fallon, MO 63366. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Saint Louis.
