Juanita June Holleman

Zalma

Juanita June Holleman, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on March 6, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on October 13, 1936, in Zalma, Missouri, she was a guiding light, our loving matriarch whose spirit will forever remain in our hearts.

Juanita was known for her incredible warmth and strength. She possessed a thoughtful nature that shone through in her dedication to her family. Always putting them first, she created a nurturing home filled with love and laughter. Those fortunate enough to know her will remember not only her caring demeanor but also the indomitable spirit she shared with all.

Her love for the beauty of nature was evident in her interests; she cherished birds and flowers and found great joy in being outdoors. These simple pleasures reflected her deep appreciation for life and its wonders. Juanita took immense pride in her family, especially relishing the time spent with her granddaughter, Amanda, and great-granddaughter, Lily. These moments brought her boundless joy and fulfillment, fortifying the bonds of love that intertwined their lives.

Juanita is survived by her devoted daughter, Carol (Dan) Taylor; her cherished grandchild, Amanda (Justin) Renshaw; and her great-granddaughter, Lily Renshaw. She will be remembered fondly by a host of other family members and friends who were touched by her kindness and compassion.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Holleman, whose love she carried with her throughout her life. Her heart was further shaped by the loss of her mother, Mandie Ellen Speer, her father, William Schyler Speer, three brothers—Curtis, Cleo, and Norman Speer—and her sister, Lola Dunn. Together, they form a beautiful memory of family that continues to live on in the stories shared and the lives impacted by Juanita’s gentle spirit.

A visitation will be held on March 22, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM, both at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, MO. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating the life of a remarkable woman who, in her loving way, made the world a better place.
