Kelly, Juanita, 95 (nee Boharian) born January 11, 1924, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Gordon F Kelly; dear daughter of the late Arten and Satnik Boharian; loving mother of Michael (Karen) Kelly, Patrick (Judy) Kelly, Daniel Kelly, Judy (Richard) Bauer and Donald (Barbara) Kelly. Dearest Grandmother to 15 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren; dear aunt, and cousin to many.
Juanita was a resident of Baden, Missouri for over 70 years and then became a resident of St. Peters, Missouri to be closer to loved ones. She was a wife to her husband, Gordon Kelly for over 60 years. She was a devoted mother of four boys and one daughter. She cherished many friendships from her childhood and Ebenezer Church. She had strong family and religious values and was an active member of Ebenezer Church and the Evening Guild for over 50 years. She was a true matriarch of the Boharian and Kelly family. She had 5 sisters and was very close to them. Juanita's family migrated from Armenia and left a footprint on Ellis Island in the early 1900's. Her family meant everything to her, and she especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren visiting with her by playing card games and telling stories about the family. Juanita loved having visitors stop by in person or call her on the phone. She enjoyed family gatherings, especially the pumpkin hayride at Uncle's Pats, Christmas Eve with her family, and New Year's Day with the Armenian feast. When she wasn't at home cutting out newspaper clippings, writing letters to family and friends, or watching the Young & the Restless, she was socializing by playing Bingo at the local community center and attending Red Hat events. Juanita will be forever remembered by those she touched, and her family will most remember her kind heart and smile.
