Judi Candela

Judi Candela, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on October 28, 1946, Judi lived a life full of passion for literature and the arts, enriched by her love for family and friends.

Judi's spirit was deeply ingrained in the written word; she cherished writing books and had a profound interest in poetry. Her creativity was matched only by her generosity; Judi was known for always lending a helping hand to her friends and spreading joy wherever she went. She found solace in simple pleasures, such as sitting on the porch, where she reveled in the beauty of nature and spent precious time reflecting on life.

She is survived by her two daughters, Laura (Jason) Carmen and Lynn (Keith) Schaumburg, and her son, Mike (Chris) Wikoff. Judi’s legacy also includes her eight grandchildren: Ashley, April, Michael, Brett, Danielle, Jack, Kyle, and Brooke, along with twelve great-grandchildren who brought her immeasurable joy and pride. Judi maintained close ties with her extended family and friends, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts.

Judi was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Candela, and her father, Sam Candela. The love she shared with her family and the indelible mark she left on their lives serve as a testament to a life well-lived.

A visitation to honor Judi's life will be held on April 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri with a Funeral Service to be held on the same day at 7:00 PM. Friends, family, and anyone whose life was touched by Judi are invited to pay their respects and celebrate the remarkable woman she was.
