Judith Arbore passed away peacefully on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 4:00 pm with her husband at her side. She was the middle of five sisters. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, one son and two sisters.
Judith graduated Class Salutatorian. She was hired by the Timken Roller Bearing Company as an Executive Secretary. After taking time to raise her son, she returned to work, starting as an administrative assistant at Monsanto. She quickly ascended to the position of manager, Executive Services. She was responsible for planning travel, annual meetings and special events for the President, CEO, Executive Management and Board of Directors of Monsanto.
She traveled the world extensively and reveled in being a world citizen. Judith was funny, intelligent, erudite and loved politics. She golfed, played card games, loved dining out, decorating her home, and visiting with relatives and friends. Judith spoke candidly about dying and had a firm belief in life hereafter. She was grateful for a beautiful and bountiful life with her husband and son and all the blessings.
Judith was a 25-year breast cancer survivor. Two years ago she was diagnosed with liver cancer and treated at SLU. The deterioration of her liver and other issues resulted in kidney failure. She had a short hospice care period and passed away quietly in her sleep.
The memorial service in planned for Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home in St Peters at 3:00 pm with a visitation from 2-3pm.
