Judy Kay Ciaramitaro, born on February 6, 1946, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025. A remarkable woman, Judy's legacy is woven through her significant contributions to the lives of those around her, a devoted mother, a passionate dancer, and a cherished friend.
Judy was a proud graduate of Sporta Township High School in 1964, a foundation that sparked her journey into a successful career. She dedicated her professional life to Boeing, where she worked as a Procurement Analyst until her retirement in July of 2014. Her commitment to excellence and detail was admired by colleagues and earned her respect in her industry.
Beyond her career, Judy's heart thrived within the vibrant dance community. Her journey began early, teaching Ballroom dance while still in high school. In 2006, she joined the MUSIC Dance Club, where her passion flourished. Judy quickly became a vital part of the organization, serving on the board and taking on the role of dance director. Her spirit continued to shine when she joined the St. Louis Imperial Dance Club in 2012, the oldest dance club founded in 1973. There, she excelled in multiple roles, including member-at-large, Newsletter Editor, Webmaster, and ultimately President. Judy’s love for dance was not only a hobby; it was a means to connect, inspire, and teach others, making lasting friendships through every step and twirl.
Throughout her life, Judy was proudest of her role as a devoted mother to her son, Jon Eric Ciaramitaro. She nurtured and supported him, embodying the love and dedication that defines a family. This bond will forever resonate in the hearts she touched.
In 2020, Judy was inducted into the American Bop Association Hall of Fame, a testament to her influence and passion for dance. It was an honor she cherished, although it paled in comparison to the love she held for her family and friends.
Judy is survived by her son, Jon Eric Ciaramitaro; and a host of other friends who will remember her spirit, kindness, and warmth. She was preceded in death by her mother, Arlene Rebecca Hallock, and father, Jack Homer Hallock, both of whom she admired and loved dearly.
A visitation to celebrate Judy’s life will be held on February 3, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, MO.
