Judy Ann Scanga

December 17, 1948 — December 25, 2016

Judy Ann Scanga was born in St Louis, Missouri to Anthony V. and Altha M. Scanga. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, and by her niece Amanda Lea Scanga. She is survived by her older sister Cynthia L. Turgeon and husband Phillip of Spring Lake, North Carolina; her younger brother John A. Scanga and wife Deborah of St Peters, Missouri; by nephews Jeffery D. Backer of Arlington, Tennessee, Matthew J. Backer of Sedalia, Missouri, Nicholas J. Scanga of St Louis, Missouri, and Christopher J. Scanga and wife Julia of St Peters, Missouri.

Judy graduated from Ritenour High School in 1967, and went on to earn an Associate's Degree from St Louis Community College in Computer Programming. She began her career in I.T. with Western Union in St Louis, Missouri before moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota to work for Blue Cross Blue Shield. Judy moved back to St Louis to assist with the care of her mother, where she finished her career with Citi Corp in St Charles, Missouri. Judy spent her final days surrounded by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

A Gathering in Celebration of Judy's life will be Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.
