Jung-Chang Lee, age 75, of Creve Coeur, Missouri passed away at his home on Monday, November 22, 2021 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born in Tainan, Taiwan on June 27, 1946 to Chao-Ying Li and Bao-Chuan Li (nee Deng).
Jung-Chang, known by many friends as simply "Mr. Lee", was an avid tennis player and electronics gadget enthusiast. After attending college at National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan, he immigrated to the United States to study physics at Binghamton University and Washington University in St. Louis, then worked as a software engineer. He enjoyed his later years playing tennis when he could and eating at Hometown Buffet with the friends he made there. He was known for being smart, precise, and detail oriented with a sharp memory. He kept many notes about health, finances, his car and home, as well as his daily life. Although a quiet, private man, Jung-Chang maintained close individual relationships with his friends and family throughout his life.
Jung-Chang is survived by his son, James J. Lee; his brothers Chi-Tsun Lee and Kao-Yi Lee; his sisters Jai-Jin Lin-Li, Winifred Hung, and Gui-Rong Li; his sister-in-law June Lee; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He will be dearly missed by his son as well as other family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm with a service to follow at 2:00 pm, both on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, West County Chapel, 2211 Clarkson Road, Chesterfield, Missouri 63017.
