Karen Guccione, age 49, of Ellisville, MO also known as "KK" to many who were dear to her, lost her life tragically as a result of an automobile accident on April 6, 2021. Karen was born on February 25,1972, in St. Louis. She was the daughter of Joseph and Geraldine (Certain) Guccione.
After graduating from Hazelwood Central High School, Karen went on to attend UM of St. Louis and earned her Bachelor's Degree. Karen was employed as a trust officer for Stifel Trust. She was an active member of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Variety Club of St. Louis.
Her children and family were the main focus and the epicenter of Karen's life. Karen was known to have an eye for fashion, style and color. She loved color and could always been seen wearing her "signature red" lipstick and nail polish. Her closet featured an endless collection of purses, shoes and clothes of every shade of red and hot-pink, which were her favorite colors. Karen had a warm and engaging personality who never met a stranger. She had a keen sense of humor and a smile that would light-up a room. Karen stayed true to her Italian roots and always enjoyed sharing Italian dishes with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Karen leaves behind a living legacy that includes her loving children; sons, Angelo Joseph "A.J."Puricelli and John Robert "Jack" Puricelli of Ellisville; daughter, Katherine "Katie" G. Puricelli of Ellisville; step-daughter, Rachel A. Puricelli of St. Louis; father, Joseph "Joe" Guccione, Sr. of St. Peters; brother, Joseph "Joe" (Kim) Guccione, Jr. of O'Fallon; sister, Christine "Chris" Guccione of Hazelwood; niece, Laura (Jacob) Hobbs of Marine, IL; nephew, Ryan (Jorie) Guccione of O'Fallon; niece, Abby (Nate) Williams of O'Fallon; nephew, Eric Guccione of Hazelwood; former husband, John J. Puricelli of Ellisville; very special Aunt Kathlyn (Mockie) Savignac of St. Peters; and her loyal pet dogs "CiCi" and "Dutch."
Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine B. Guccione.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid-Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, MO. Cremations will follow at a later date.
