Karin E. Niemeyer, age 74, of Fenton, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was born in Freiburg, Germany on June 22, 1947 to Samuel and Erika Liskin (nee Klaus).
Karin was a kind, loving, caring, self-less woman. She was born in Germany and raised with her younger brother in Winsted, CT. She went to UCONN and even lived in New York City for a while. She has a great love of teaching. She met her loving husband in 1980 while working on her Specialist Degree and they were married a year later. They lived together in Iowa for a short time before moving to St. Louis to take jobs at Webester University. In 1983 she had her one and only child, a daughter, who she gave her life to. She had a few different jobs while her daughter was young, such as MaryKay, Real Estate, and then teaching at Harris Stowe, to make sure she could attend all her events. She loved her family with all her heart. Her greatest joys in life were being a teacher, wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved being there for her family, especially her daughter and granddaughter's. Many fun and expensive shopping trips were had by all. She taught both college level and high school, with her final teaching job, before retirement, being at Gateway STEM High School teaching German, her first language. In 2008 she met the son she never knew she wanted. In 2015 her first granddaughter was born, and she was so very happy. Over the next 5 years she gained 2 more granddaughter's and she was able to see them almost every day. They brought so much joy to her life. Karin loved to travel all over including Germany, multiple times, and then yearly family trips to Branson. Purple was her favorite color, and nothing could beat fresh lobster on the beach. She will be dearly missed by her family, and they find comfort knowing she is with her parents in heaven.
Karin is survived by her husband, John J. Niemeyer; her daughter, Kyrstin E. (Frankie) Stabbs; her granddaughters, Khloe E. Stabbs, Kaylee E. Stabbs, and Kelce E. Stabbs; her brother, Jeff D. (Robbin) Liskin. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel B. Liskin; her mother, Erika D. Liskin.
