Kathleen W. Benes, age 71, of O Fallon, Missouri passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 in O Fallon, Missouri. She was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on April 6, 1949 to Joseph and Alberta Weaver (nee Oppeau).
Kathy was a dedicated and loved mother, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, nurse and friend to many. Wherever she went she made friends. She loved quilting, crab rangoon, furry pets, presents and presence, always welcomed hugs and finding ways to give to others and share a laugh
Kathy is survived by her children, Michael C. (Natalie) Benes, Jessica A. (Nicholas) Southard, and Erin L. Walter; her grandchildren, Chloe A. Walter, Finnley G. Benes, Piper O. Benes, Samantha G. Southard, and Maxim J. Southard; and her siblings, Stephan (Carol) Weaver, Denise Vohsen, Brian (Lana) Weaver, and Alicia Weaver. She will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Benes; her father, Joseph Weaver; and her mother, Alberta Weaver.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm with a memorial service at 1:00 pm on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Interment will be private.
All friends and family are welcome, after services for a celebration of life backyard party from 2:30 pm until 5:00 pm at Blooming Daisy Marketplace in Cottleville, 5541 Chestnut St, Cottleville, MO 63304.
