Kathleen Mary Campbell, lovingly known by many as Kate, passed away on April 16, 2025, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 66. Born on December 2, 1958, in St. Charles, Missouri, she radiated warmth and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Kathleen dedicated part of her professional life as an administrative assistant at McDonnell Douglas, a role she embraced until her retirement in 1996. Her colleagues remember her not only for her work ethic but also for her ability to bring joy into the workplace with her vibrant personality.
She was a proud graduate of Francis Howell High School, finishing her studies in 1977 before pursuing further education in accounting at St. Mary's College. Kathleen's intellect and ambition led her to achieve much in her career, yet it was her family that truly defined her life.
Kathleen shared a deep bond with her family, always cherishing the moments spent with her beloved granddaughters, Willow and Harlow. She found joy in the simplest pleasures of life: solving puzzles, playing games, and celebrating holidays, particularly Christmas, when her heart shone the brightest. Kathleen also had a passion for playing trivia, and her enthusiasm for shopping was infectious.
Her bonds extended beyond her immediate family. She is survived by her daughter, Tamara (Matt) Carey, and son, Bradley Campbell, and treasured her life partner, Sheldon Smissman. She is also fondly remembered by her brothers, John (Nancy) LaMora and William (Carol) LaMora.
Kathleen now joins her husband, Dale Campbell; her parents, John and Agnes LaMora; and her sister, Terry Newman, as well as her brother, Tom LaMora, in eternal rest. The love they shared and the memories created together will forever resonate within the hearts of those left behind.
A visitation will be held on April 22, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, West County, located at 2211 Clarkson Rd, Chesterfield, MO.
