Katrina B. Ames

July 28, 1930 — August 4, 2021

Katrina B. Ames (nee Marshall), age 91 of Dardenne Prairie, Missouri, was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. Katrina had been retired for many years, having worked as a school bus driver, a receptionist in a cleaners, a junior underwriter for American National Insurance Company, and an operator for Western Union. However, she saw her most important work as serving for several years as a church pianist and a church treasurer. She became a Christian as a young child. She was an avid student of the Bible and had taught Sunday School for several years earlier in her life. She was also a wonderful cook and her lemon pies were treasured by many.

Katrina was born July 28, 1930 in Blytheville, Arkansas, one of thirteen children born to the late Edward and Sallie (nee Hall) Marshall. She was married to Clinton E. Wisdom from 1949 to 1961. Katrina was the beloved wife of the late George L. Ames from 1986 to 1997; dearest mother of Rodney (Gail) Wisdom of St. Peters, Missouri, Pamela Diane (Dennis Farrell) Wisdom of O'Fallon, Missouri; cherished grandmother of Danielle (Tim) Therrien and Rachel Wisdom; loving great-grandmother of Jocelyn Therrien; dear sister to five surviving siblings, Dan (Mary Lou) Marshall, Virginia (Darrell) Cress, Don (Linda) Marshall, John (Elizabeth) Marshall, and Victoria (Vanoy) Cox, and seven late siblings, Maggie (Bud) Dingler, Edward (Evelyn) Marshall, Betty Jo (Louis) Queen, William (Loretta) Marshall, Charles (Doris) Marshall, June Ann (Carlos) Clark, and Carrie Marshall; beloved step-mother to Michael (Christine) Ames; and dear aunt to a host of nieces and nephews.
