Keith Augustine

September 17, 1941 — May 16, 2019

Keith Alan Augustine went home to be with our Lord on May 16,2019. He was at home and
surrounded by family following a lengthy illness.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, Penelope (Proctor) Augustine, his children Amy
(Kip) North, Erin (Will) Molstad, and Brian (Katie) Augustine. Proud grandfather of Bailey, Kylie,
Trevor North; Ethan, Mason, Landon, Emma Molstad; Dylan and Carter Augustine. He is also
survived by his brother, Gary (Barb) Augustine, as well as nieces and nephews. Keith was
preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patricia Condojani.

Born September 17, 1941 in Geddes,South Dakota to Ignatius and Alta Augustine. Keith was
raised in Marshalltown, Iowa where he graduated from St.Mary's High School in 1959, and went
on to graduate from Northwest Missouri State in 1965.

Keith was married to Penelope Proctor on September 5, 1964. She was the light of his life and
together they raised three children in Marshalltown, where he worked for many years in medical
sales. Later he and Penny had a second career as teaching parents at Father Flanagan's Boys
Home in Omaha Nebraska, and then with the Ohio Family Teaching Association in Toledo,
Ohio. This change in career was an outward expression of his spirit of service. They retired in
1997 and moved to Lake St. Louis, Missouri to be closer to family.

Keith had many interests and pursuits and was passionate about many things in life. While in
high school and college he was involved in theater and debate, winning awards for debate.
Debate was a skill that served him well and he was a hard person to win an argument against!
Keith was also a great lover of music; whether he was singing in men's community and church
choirs, or listening to jazz and classical music on his stereo, music was a big part of his life. In
his later years Keith developed a heartfelt interest of naturopathic medicine and he shared this
knowledge with many friends and family. But the most important pursuit was that of his love of
Christ and his Catholic faith. He lived his faith devoutly and shared it with many.
