Keith Anthony Porter, born on July 24, 1965, passed away on January 18, 2025, leaving behind a legacy defined by his love for family and ability to light up any room he entered. A man of vibrant spirit, Keith lived his life with enthusiasm and dedication, while always trying to put a smile on the face of everyone he encountered.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Lori Burgess; his five sons: Brendan Porter, Shane (Kersten) Porter, Travis Porter, Chase Porter, and Dawson Porter; his daughter, Mickenna Porter; his step-daughter, whom he embraced as one of his own, Jamie (Kevin) Copeland; and three grandchildren, Aidan Copeland, Leah Copeland, and Nolan Porter. He is also survived by his three brothers, Mickey (Dee Dee) Porter, Gary (Carol) Porter, and Kevin (Michelle) Porter. Keith's family was the cornerstone of his life, and nothing meant more to him than seeing them happy.
Keith loved spending time with his kids and worked tirelessly to ensure they could participate in any sport or activity they desired. Whether it meant taking them out for $.25 drinks when the Cardinals scored six, barbecuing his famous beer brats on a long relaxing Sunday, coaching them from the bench, or cheering them on from the stands, Keith’s dedication to their happiness and success was unmatched. His efforts made it possible for his children to pursue their passions and created countless cherished memories along the way.
Beyond his commitment to family and sports, Keith cherished the art of gift-giving, always seeking to make others feel special. He was a devoted music lover, often tuning in to KSHE 95, where he could listen and rock out to all his favorite artists.
Keith was preceded in death by his father, George Porter, and his mother, Aurea Porter; two sisters, Linda Seeler and Donna Shults; and his brother, Jerry Porter.
Visitation services will be held on January 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St. Peters, MO 63376.
Keith will be fondly remembered for his warmth, humor, and ability to bring joy wherever he went. His legacy will continue through the cherished memories and values he instilled in his family and friends.
