It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth "Kenny" Lee Happe, born on March 22, 1986 in St. Louis, Missouri. He passed away on July 25, 2023.
Kenny was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend. He was the son of Julie Happe (nee Ady) and the late Nicholas Happe, brother of Daniel Happe and Kaitlyn Fenton (nee Happe), brother-in-law of Joshua Fenton, and uncle to Lillian Fenton. He is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Norm and Mary Ann Ady (nee Hughes), and Kenneth Happe and Joyce Happe (Coughlin, nee Kleine). He leaves behind many loving cousins, aunts and uncles.
Kenny was a passionate music lover of many genres and talented guitarist, often spending his days playing in the park. He was always good for a documentary with a thirst for knowledge that dubbed him "The Great Debater". His mother (and closest confidant) will always see him visit in the form of owls, which were a fascination for him. He was a source of great hope to those battling with addiction, particularly to mothers who watched their own children struggle. All who loved him wish him a restful peace now with his father and grandparents.
Kenny was currently completing his apprenticeship with the Iron Workers Local 396.
A celebration of Kenny's life to be held at Tower Grove, his favorite park in the coming weeks. Day and time to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Kenny's honor to Missouri Network for Opiate Reform and Recovery, 4022 So. Broadway, St. Louis, MO 63118, or to Wild Bird Rehabilitation, 9624 Midland, St. Louis MO 63112.
