Kenneth Paul Murphy Sr. (Murph), age 90, of Salem, Missouri passed away on July 9, 2018 surrounded by his family after a short illness. He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on December 29, 1927 to Clyde and Ella Murphy (nee Keevins). Kenneth married Dorothea Scott on April 30, 1949, she survives.
Kenneth is survived by his wife: Dorothea Murphy of Salem, MO, four children: son: Kenneth Paul (Donna) Murphy, Jr., daughter: Ann E. (Jim) Chervek, daughter: Margaret E. (Tim) Schaible, daughter: Jill S. (Mike) Lombardo, eight grandchildren: Nicole Murphy, Seth Murphy (Christine), Tricia Erpelding (Jerry), Laura Govero (Ashley), Nathan Lombardo (Alicia), Megan Schaible, Alex Schaible, Ean Lombardo (Kassie), Nathan Chervek, Amy Rhoads, ten great grandchildren: Gabe, Ayden, Ellie, Logan, Joe, Abby, Reagan, Zack, Thomas James, Simon, one sister: Mary Belford and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Jack and two sisters: Betty and Gerry.
Kenneth enjoyed spending time with his family. He liked to go fishing and wing shooting ducks and pheasants. Kenneth also enjoyed spending time in his garden.
Visitation will be on July 13, 2018 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Funeral mass will be on July 14, 2018 at 10:00am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Father Robert Burkemper will be officiating. Burial will be at Ste. Philippine Cimetiere.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association 460 Lindbergh Blvd. St. Louis, MO 63141 or the National Kidney Foundation 1001 Craig Road #480 St. Louis, MO 63146.
