Kevin Carlos Moss, born on September 29, 1955, in Waterloo, Iowa, after battling chronic health issues, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 9, 2025, at the age of 69 in DePaul Hospital St. Louis, Missouri. He grew up in a loving home, the son of Hollis and Vivian Moss. He was preceded in death by his steadfast father, Hollis Moss (82yr), and two brothers, Brandt Moss (5 months) and Kirk Moss (28yr).

Kevin spent his early years living in Iowa, Arizona, Tennessee and Louisiana before settling in St. Peters, Missouri. He was an outstanding athlete during his high school years and went on to pursue active military duty in the United States Air Force until 1974. In his professional career, he dedicated over ten years of his life working for a Mechanical Tools Distribution Company until his retirement.

Kevin was known for his infectious laughter and easy-going nature. Being a sports enthusiast who loved football, Kevin could quote sports statistics off the top of his head. He enjoyed BBQing while watching his favorite teams play. Kevin was a free spirit who enjoyed life.

He is survived by his mother, Vivian Moss (nee Oliver) with whom he shared a close bond; two sons, Steven Davis and DeShawnus Ceaser; a brother, Kent (Mary) Moss; a sister, Kelli (Tracee Barnes) Moss; as well as a host of other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

Friends and family are invited to a Graveside Burial Service to honor Kevin's life held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri, on February 20, 2025, starting at 11:30 AM. A Repass for friends and family to gather will be held directly following internment, at Golden Corral, 6110 S Lindbergh Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63123.
