Kevin William Hale , age 69, of St Louis, Missouri passed away on September 22, 2019 Sunday. He was born in St Louis, Missouri on Wednesday, May 10, 1950 to William Hale and Ruth Hale (Fauth).
Kevin graduated St. Mary's High School 1969. He and Mary met on a blind date in 1969 and were married Dec. 17 1971, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in High Ridge, Mo. Kevin graduated with a bachelors in education and fine arts minor from SIUE in 1973. Kevin worked several years at Schnucks grocery and briefly as a high school art teacher in St. Louis. The remainder of Kevin's work career was for Associated Wholesale Grocers (AWG) in Springfield, Mo. as a Director of Bakery, Deli, & Food Service Operation starting Aug. 1985, and retired Dec. 2012 after 45 years in the upper management grocery industry. Kevin and Mary spent their retirement with friends and relatives and traveled statewide and abroad often. They made their home in O'Fallon, Mo. Kevin had a love for cars, 60's music, and history. In his free time he would build model cars and read the newspaper daily especially his comics section favorite, The Argyle Sweater. He was best known for being genuinely joyful and friendly, giving great advice without judgement, his goofy sense of humor could always make you laugh, and his faith-filled trust in God in all things. Kevin was a fighter, he battled heart disease for 25+ years. We will miss him here on earth, but his heart is now healed and complete in Jesus' presence.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Mary Hale, his daughters: Sarah Dorsey (Micheal) and Theresa Deal (Eric), four grandchildren: Ethan and Allison Shryer and William and Amelia Deal, a sister Patricia Hernandez (Juan), and one brother William Hale, many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruth Hale, and a sister Pamela Hale.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 9:30 ~ 10:30am at Assumption Catholic Church, 403 N. Main Street, O'Fallon, MO, with a Memorial Mass starting at 10:30 am.
