Larry Scarpace

Larry Ray Scarpace, age 82, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 in Chesterfield, Missouri. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 24, 1941 to Joseph and Wanda Scarpace (nee Vaughn). 

Larry was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed cooking, video poker, fishing, telling long jokes, and watching any sports associated with St. Louis. His love for God was always an inspiration for the hundreds of positive quotes he would write on any piece of paper available. He was a poet and didn’t even know it. “I thought for days what I would say to Jesus when I met him, and the answer would be, God, why were you so good to me”. He will be greatly missed by all the people who knew and loved him. 

Larry is survived by his Children, Christine J. (Kent) Mallon, Emily J. Retkowski, Larry J. (Julie) Scarpace, Kimberly Noel; Two Siblings, Fred (Phyllis) Scarpace, Joseph (Joan) Scarpace; Seven grandchildren, Nicholas Mallon, Andrew Retkowski, Zachary Mallon, Rick S. (Kelsey) Retkowski, Matthew (Amy) Retkowski, Maya Scarpace, Carlie Scarpace; Four great-grandchildren, Marley Retkowski, Jayme Retkowski, Mason Long, Rory Retkowski; and a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Joseph Scarpace; Mother, Wanda A. Scarpace; Wife, Patricia Scarpace. 

Visitation will be August 10, 2024 from 11:30 am until 2:30 pm at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376 .
