Lee I. Nunn

March 28, 1932 — March 17, 2024

Lee Nunn, 91, passed away surrounded by his family at his home on March 17, 2024. A man of high standards and a relentless pursuit of perfection, Lee's life was marked by his dedication to his country, his family, and his passions. From his early days in St. Louis during the Great Depression to his service in the Korean conflict with the 931st EAG, Lee embodied the spirit of excellence and resilience. He was a loving husband to Mary (Billie) LaGates, whom he married shortly after graduating from Beaumont High School, and a devoted father and grandfather.

Following his military service, Lee built a successful career as a regional sales director for Lincoln Engineering. His love for adventure and his family led to memorable road trips, vacations to Kentucky Lake, and his eventual passion for high-performance vehicles. Lee's need for speed was legendary, as evidenced by his "Richard Petty Experience."

An avid golfer, Lee spent countless hours on the course, perfecting his game and sharing tales that blended fact and fiction. His stories, a testament to his creativity and charm, made him a beloved figure within his community and especially in his retirement home, where he never met a stranger.

Lee leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the pursuit of excellence. He is survived by his children, Rick Nunn (Christy) and Cheryl Skrivan (Robert), his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life and legacy.
