CMSgt Leo Eugene Klaeger, USAF Ret., age 92, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away March 1, 2016 at his home.
Leo was born November 13, 1923, at Union, Missouri, a son of the late Charles and Maude "Esther" Estelle Farrell Klaeger.
He was united in marriage on March 11, 1950 to Elsie Lucille Byrnes in Spokane, WA.
Leo was called to serve his country with the Air Force, serving in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He retired as a Chief Master Sergeant after 26 years of service. In his retirement, Leo loved remodeling his home, fixing anything, loved working on cars and small engines. He was also a Mason and Shriner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Eldo Klaeger.
Survivors include his Wife, Elsie of 66 years, of the home, Daughters: Genie (James) Burton, Jan (Butch) Frick, Wendy (Dale) Klenke, Sandy (Michael) Kelly, and Tena (John) Frick; 9 Grandchildren and 6 Great grandchildren.
Memorial Contributions to the Wounded Warriors Project or the Air Warrior Courage Foundation.
Services for Chief Master Sergeant Leo E. Klaeger, USAF Retired, will be private.
