Leola Olivia Wanha (Lee) was born on December 22, 1931 in Washington, MO to parents Mathilda and William Stuesse. She lived most recently in St. Peters, MO and for the past two years at Brookdale West County in Ballwin, MO. After several years of declining health, she passed peacefully in the early morning hours on December 2, 2021.
Lee is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Donald Wanha, her son Steven Wanha, brother N. William (Bill) Stuesse and granddaughter Erin Wanha.
Lee is survived by her sons (still affectionately known as her boys) Glenn (and Bernadine Veal Wanha), Chris Wanha, Jeffrey Wanha (and Juan Marroquin), sister-in-law Marge Stuesse, sisters Mary Holmes and Caroline Baker, daughter-in-law Nanalee Wanha, nieces Monica (and Joel) Perlmutter, Sarah (and Randy) Philbrick and Mare Girwood, nephews Mark (and Cheryl) Stuesse and Greg (and Denise) Stuesse, and grandchildren Kyle (and Morgan) Wanha, Stephanie (and David) Heinsch, Christopher Wanha and Bianca (and Jesse) England.
Lee is also survived by cousins Ellroy Wildhaber, Sr. Georgiann Wildhaber, SSND, Geraldine (and Jim) Donner, Gerald (and Nancy) Engel, Betty Thomas, Betty Rozier, Ralph Stuesse, Robert Stuesse, Laverne Bierbaum and Marcella Strubberg.
Lee's sons wish to express special thanks to those who supported Lee in so many ways during her final years, including but not limited to her sister-in-law Marge Stuesse, niece Monica Perlmutter, former neighbors Jim and Mary Springer, and all those including her cousins who reached out to call and visit Lee.
