Leona Hedrick
February 3, 1930 — July 21, 2016
Leona M. "Lee" Hedrick (nee West), age 86, of St. Charles, Missouri (formerly of Florissant, Missouri),passed away Thursday July 21, 2016 at Lake St. Louis, Missouri after a brief illness. Leona's late husband, Warren B. Hedrick, passed away in 1989.
Leona is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Ray) Blank; her son, David Hedrick, both of St. Charles, Missouri; and her sister Faith Gates of Gladstone, Missouri. Leona was an avid reader of true crime non-fiction books and loved biographies and historical non-fiction. She was well traveled, having visited the major capitals of Europe with her son during the late 1980's and the early 1990's. Of late, she could frequently be seen at the St. Charles Ameristar casino pursuing her post-retirement vocation.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm Tuesday July 26, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters Missouri.
