Leslie Oliver Schormann, age 70, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in his home with his family by his side. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri.
Leslie retired from Laclede Gas Company after 34 years of service on April 1, 2003. He was in the United States Navy. He was a loving husband to Gail Schormann (nee Jacobi) for 28 years. Leslie had a passion for fishing, camping, being outdoors, playing cards, gambling and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Venita Schormann, Sr.
Leslie is survived by his Wife, Gail A. Schormann; children, Jeffrey Schormann, Lisa Claspill, Cynthia Mesler, Christopher Townsend, Angela Johnson, Michael Schormann, Robert Schormann and Allison Schormann; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings Doris Meister and David Schormann and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins other family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. St. Peters, Missouri 63376 from 4:00 - 7:00pm. Memorial Mass will be 10:00 am Thursday, February 22, 2018 at St. Joachim and Ann Parish Catholic Church 4112 McClay Rd. St. Charles, Missouri 63304 with Rev. James Gahan officiating. Interment will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery 2900 Sheridan Road St. Louis, Missouri 63125 at 12:30 pm. Luncheon to follow at Watson Terrace Christian Church 4205 Watson Road St. Louis, Missouri 63109 following the interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to assist with funeral expenses.
