Linda Lou Acres, age 78, of O'Fallon, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was born in Virginia, Illinois on August 12, 1944 to John and Hazel Carls (nee Walbert).
Linda was a Secretary for the State of Illinois and the local school district. She was married to Alfred Acres for 57 years.
Linda was an avid shopper on Main Street St. Charles, and TV watcher, she especially loved Day of Our Lives and St. Louis Cardinal's Baseball Games. She loved gardening flowers, spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids, and family gatherings. She also dearly loved her beagle/cocker-spaniel, Chubby.
Linda is survived by her Husband, Son, Mark (Cindy) Acres; Daughter, Teresa (Steven) Biles; Two Grandsons, Scott Acres, Steve (Meghan) Acres; Granddaughter, Danielle Acres; Two Great-Granddaughters, Ada Jane Acres, Cora June Acres; Brother, Larry (Teri) Carls; and a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Father, John Floyd Carls; Mother, Hazel Nadine Carls; Brother, Terry Carls;
Visitation will be Monday, May 8, 2023 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. A funeral ceremony will be held the following morning, Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 10:00am with interment at St. Charles Memorial Gardens Immediately following.
