Linda Gale (Buxton) Larkin, 71, of Olean Missouri & Saint Charles, Missouri passed away Wednesday morning, July 15, 2020.
She was born in Warrensburg, Missouri on December 16, 1948 to Evert Gene & Katherine Alene Buxton (nee Copeland).
Linda graduated from Truman High School in Independence, Missouri, and Linda attended Longview College, Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Linda and Harry Lee Johnson Senior had one son, Harry Lee Johnson Junior in 1969. Lee Junior passed away from pneumonia in 2016 (Eldon, Missouri) and more recently their Grandson Harry Lee III best known as "Lee Lee" of Raytown, Missouri was killed in a tragic auto accident in 2013. Lee Lee's Brother Theo lives in the Kansas City Missouri area as well as his cousin Kelly Johnson, and Evert (Amy) Johnson and other greatly loved friends and family in the area.
Linda later had a 12 year career as a Procurement Clerk with the Farmers Home Administration office at 1520 Market Street, St. Louis. Linda met Dan Larkin and they married in 1979, welcoming a son Rob Larkin in 1980. Rob now resides in Brooksville, Florida. Linda retired from the Federal Government in 1992 when they moved to Florida.
Linda returned to Eldon, Missouri in 1997 and began her job at the Director's Office of the Department of Corrections Office Staff, transferring later to JCCC, The Jefferson City Correctional Center Prison Office Staff in 1999. After 15 years of service she retired.
Linda's cousin and close friend Kathy gave her 2 dogs as a retirement gift. Linda dedicated her funds to "Barney & Freedom" and her many cats so they could have the best care.
Linda inherited a button collection from her Great Grandmother, and she collected more antique buttons. Linda loves Jesus Christ and collected religious pictures. She dedicated her collection to her church group that she loved. Linda preferred not to collect any new items among her pretties so this made the collection very unique especially her jewelry.

Linda is survived by her Mother, Katherine A Buxton,Eldon, Missouri, presently of Marthasville, Missouri.
Her Sister, Barbara (Greg) Newman, Nephew Andy Newman, Niece Carrie Newman (Benjamin Fish) Great Nephew Bentley Fish and Niece Samantha Paramo Fish; In addition' Linda's great family friends Scott Carpenter, Katie Carpenter and daughter Abigail of St. Peters.
Linda's sister Kathryn from Marthasville Missouri with Linda's Nephew Jamison Neu (Sandra Fuhrmann) care for Linda & Barbara and Tom"s mother Mrs. Buxton. Kathryn has one daughter Katy. Katy and husband Matt Callanan and children Ethan & Natalie, they reside in Camdenton, Missouri.
Linda's brother Thomas Buxton (Kathleen Ackroyd) of Las Vegas, Nevada). Tom has 2 Daughter's in Missouri. Donna has 3 children, Joyce, Donnie and Lucus of Eldon, MO and NikkiJo and Joe Ouettlet live in Fayette, Missouri and they have 4 children, Arora, Garrett, Gage, Gracelyn Alene.
Again Lindas Grandson, Theo Johnson, Niece, Kelly Johnson Evert and Amy Johnson are in the Kansas City Missouri area.
Linda will be dearly missed by a host of other family members and friends.
Leigh Ann Lamear's (2015) eldest is her Daughter Kentucky Jennifer (Thomas Meeks) & child.
Leigh's Son Geoffrey M. Lamear Pacific, MO; Grandson Geoff LaMear Chicago ( Dear Mother Anna).

We want to thank all the get well wishes of all Linda's nieces,nephews, and cousins that are remotely located, but we especially want to thank Kathy Wikoff, Linda's Cousin, her Daughter Patty Buetler, husband John Beutler, and John Wikoff for their exceptional effort in Linda's Loving care.
In addition Linda was preceded in death by her Father,(she was Daddy's girl) Evert G Buxton; Brother, Grant Neal Buxton; Sister, Leigh Ann LaMear; again her Son, Harry Lee Johnson, Jr.; and her Grandson, Harry Lee Johnson III. Recently Tina Wikoff; Wayne Buxton and Shirley Buxton. Linda was a dearly loved person by all of her family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters.
Services will be held at 6:00 pm.
