Linda Lee Nelson, age 72, of Saint Peters, Missouri passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024 in Saint Peters, Missouri. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 22, 1951 to Joseph and Gloria Roddy (nee Wunderli).
Linda was a natural caregiver and spent many years caring for her own children as well as others' children. If you were in her presence, you were under her care. Through her love of others, she planted many seeds of God's love, and her life was a testimony of trusting Him in every season. One of Linda's favorite verses was Proverbs 3: 5-6.
Linda loved her grandkids dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Her generous spirit will be missed by so many, and we are grateful to know that she is resting in eternal peace in the arms of our Savior.
Linda is survived by her Husband, Mark Nelson; Three Daughters, Angella (Justin) Chapell, Tracie Kuhlmann, Aelisa (Daniel) Dieckmann; Son, Todd Nelson; Nine grandchildren, Elsa Chapell, Seth Chapell, Celia Chapell, Gavin Dieckmann, Madelyn Dieckmann, Gabrielle Dieckmann, Lance Kuhlmann, Levi Kuhlmann, Grace Kuhlmann; Two Brothers, Randy (Janice) Roddy, Scott Roddy; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Joseph Roddy; Mother, Gloria Roddy; Brother, Tom Roddy.
Funeral Service will be 1:30 pm Saturday, July 13, 2024 at First Baptist Church, 8750 Veterans Memorial Pkwy, O'Fallon, MO 63366. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, July 12, 2024, at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Interment to take place following the funeral service at Valhalla Cemetery.
