Linda Nunnery

February 4, 1939 — October 8, 2024

Linda Nunnery, a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, left this world on October 8, 2024, in St. Charles, Missouri, at the age of 85. Born on February 4, 1939, in Gibson, Missouri, Linda was a vibrant spirit whose love for life and family shone brightly for all who knew her.

Her warmth and kindness were evident in everything she did. Linda cherished moments spent quilting and gardening, activities that reflected her nurturing nature. She had a particular joy for going on vacations, which created countless memories with her family. Whether riding in her son's dune buggy or side-by-side vehicle, her laughter would echo, a melody of happiness that lingered long after the day had ended.

Linda's life was defined by her immeasurable love for God, her husband, her children, and her beloved dogs. Her faith guided her every step, providing her strength and comfort. In the embrace of her family, she found profound joy, nurturing her bonds with her children—Sandra Hicks, Ronald Joe, Virginia Wade, Johnny Mac, Melinda Starkey, Robert Paul, Dub II—who, along with her many grandchildren, will forever hold dear the lessons she taught and the love she bestowed.

Linda’s legacy lives on through her 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of her spirit into the future. They will remember her gentle laughter, her infectious joy, and the warmth of her embrace.

She is survived by loving siblings, Faye Biggs, Ray Woodall, Chester Woodall, Dr. Karen Woodall, and Jan Thompson, who shared in the joys and sorrows of life with her. Linda’s bond with her family extended beyond just blood. She created an expansive web of love and community that enveloped friends and family alike.

Linda was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Dub C. Nunnery, whose love and companionship enriched her life beyond measure. She was also greeted in heaven by her parents, Chester and Ethel "Helen" Woodall, as well as siblings Vernon Woodall, Virginia "Sissy" Woodall, and Scottie Woodall, with whom she shared a close and loving bond.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, St. Peters on October 16, 2024, from 4 PM to 9 PM and again on October 17, 2024, from 9 AM to 10 AM, followed by her funeral service at 10 AM.

Linda Nunnery will be deeply missed yet fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched. Her legacy of love, faith, and family will continue to inspire those left behind. May she rest in eternal peace, wrapped in the love of her family and the embrace of her God.
