Lindell Marcus Freeman, 74, died peacefully in the loving care of his family in O'Fallon, MO on Friday, August 26, 2016. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 48 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Freeman and his parents, Lawrence G. and Rose V. (Doss) Freeman. Lindell is survived by his children, Frank E. Freeman, Debbie K. (John) Cross, and Harry E. (Christine) Freeman; his loving grandchildren, Kayla, Marcus, Connor, Katelyn, Stephanie, and Lauren, his sister Glenda Creely; sister-in-law, Dee Dee Schram; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Lindell was born January 27, 1942 in Flat River, MO. Lindell honorably served his country in the United States Army from June 1964-June 1966. He then worked for McDonnell Douglas in Hazelwood, Missouri for 26 years before he retired in 1992. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District 837. In his retirement, Lindell lived in Mountain View, MO, and Bismarck, MO before returning to the St. Louis area. He enjoyed spending the majority of his retirement with his wife, children and grandchildren and playing cards with his friends. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and colleagues.
Services: Visitation: Wednesday, August 31, 2016, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, MO 63376. A Funeral Service shall be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home and prior to Interment at St. Philippine Cimetiere, St. Charles, MO.
