Lindsay Dawn File, age 39, of Wentzville, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 25, 1982 to David and Linda Reinertsen (nee Hicks).
Lindsay was a Nurse BSN. She was married to Douglas File.

Lindsay graduated with honors from Winfield High School in 2000 where she participated in cheer leading and youth in government as well as being the high school band's drum major. Lindsay later attended Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO before taking on a leading role at Estee Lauder. In December of 2010 she met the love of her life, Doug, while waiting in line at Starbucks. Lindsay and Doug were married on September 13, 2013 in St. Charles, MO. The couple relocated to Kansas City, MO shortly after their wedding for Doug to pursue his career in power line construction. Lindsay was later accepted to Graceland University School of Nursing's Accelerated BSN Program, and graduated in 2019. Lindsay accepted a position at St. Luke's Hospital in the Cardiac Transplant Unit. Lindsay was a natural caregiver and nurturer who loved to travel and explore. She loved to read, learn, and create new memories. Lindsay loved and is loved by many.

A special thank you to the many wonderful caregivers who provided assistance, love, and friendship to Lindsay. She received loving care at Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes Jewish Hospital. A special thank you to Dr. Nancy Bartlett for going above and beyond the call of duty as Lindsay's oncologist and beloved friend.

Lindsay is survived by her Husband, Douglas K File of Wentzville, MO; Beloved Pup, Vinny File; Mother, Linda A (Jerry) Montgomery of Wentzville, MO; Father, David (Rowena) Reinertsen; Sister, Tiffany Marie (Curt) Loyd; Brother, Eric Reinertsen; Sister, Tabitha (Emil) Morgan; Nieces, Courtney Loyd, Khloe Loyd, Isabel Morgan and Kaylee Dawn; Grandmother, Anna Marie Hicks; Grandmother, Opal Montgomery; Bonus Moms, Deb Wilson and Amy Wolff and a host of other family members and friends that she loved so much.

She was preceded in death by her Grandfather, Bob C Hicks; Grandfather, Jim Montgomery; Grandfather, Andrew Reinertsen; and Grandmother, Maxine (Dale) Reinertsen.
