Lou Ann Edinger, age 88, of Ballwin, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. She was born in Carlisle, Pennsylvania on September 26, 1934 to Ernest and Anne Dulaney (nee Smith).
Lou Ann is survived by her children, Lori (Dan) Welsh and Todd (Lori) Hay; step-children, Tracy Edinger and Brook (Katie) Edinger; granddaughters, Chelsey (Brendon) Shaw, Caitlin (Steve) Stark, Shanna (Johnny) Brauer, Kristyn Welsh, Margot Edinger, and Sara Hay; grandsons, Christian (Lauren) Burrus, Timothy Edinger, and Thomas Edinger; great-granddaughters, Vera Shaw, Makenna Bridges, and Nora Burrus; great-grandsons, Boyd Shaw, Conor Stark, Trenton Stark, and Fred Burrus; and sister, Pam (Al) Kistler. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Anne Dulaney; husband by first marriage, Ted Hay; and husband by second marriage, Henry Edinger.
Lou Ann was a teacher in the Ritenour School District for 37 years. She loved teaching so much, after she retired she taught Pre-School at the Wee Center in Kirkwood for 20 years. Lou Ann was a loving grandmother who was very involved in her grandchildren's lives. She also liked playing Bridge with her friends, and spending time with her beloved cats.
