Lucas Spalding

Lucas "Luke" Spalding, age 17, of Mechanicsville, Virginia passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022. He was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on November 5, 2004, to Brian and Windy Spalding (nee Kimball).

Lucas was a gentle soul who lit up the room with his smile. He loved being taller than everyone but was always referred to as a gentle giant. The only time he used his size to his advantage was on the football field. Playing football since 2nd grade, he played many positions but loved being "a wall" on the offensive line. In his spare time, Lucas enjoyed playing video games with his family and friends, near and far or watching Anime with his parents. Naruto and One Piece were always his favorites but he would watch just about any of them. He loved the Japanese culture and Ramen noodles and planned to go to Japan once he graduated high school.

Lucas is survived by his parents, Brian W. and Windy M. Spalding; and his brother, Jacob W. Spalding. He will be dearly missed by many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, St. Peters Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.
