Lucy Joyce Sammelman

Lucy "Toots" Joyce Sammelman, age 76, of O'Fallon, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 17th, 1941 to Ivan and Lucy (Cleary) Viers in St. Louis, Missouri. "Toots" enjoyed traveling to various Flea markets and Auctions throughout the St. Charles County area selling her great finds to those interested. She also loved playing cards and dice with her son Kevin. "Toots" also cherished the time she spent with her daughter, Christy, who was always there as her caregiver and support.

"Toots" is survived by her loving children, Kevin Webb, Dana Webb, Bridget (Butch) Willis, Heather (Tom) Gilmartin, Marc Sammelman and Christina (Sexton) Meador. She was a proud grandmother to 8 and great-grandmother to 3. "Toots" is also survived by her siblings, Nancy (Jerry) Bauman, Mark Viers, Jerri Sue James, Mary Leonard and Dennis (Kathy) Viers.

In addition to her parents "Toots" was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Kelly Webb and siblings, Shirley VanOver, Marie Ferguson, Roger Viers, Tim Viers and Jon Viers.

The family will receive guests Monday from 4-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations. Funeral & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr. St. Peters (636-875-1200). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Jack Lipin officiating. Interment will follow at Ste Philippine Cimetiere Catholic Cemetery .
