Lynn Ray Chumbley

Lynn Ray Chumbley, age 75, of O Fallon, Missouri passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022. He was born in Upland, California on April 8, 1947 to Wayne Donald Chumbley and Wanda Bell (Gilliland) Chumbley.

Lynn was very proud of his 32-year career with the Phone Company, and held different positions, ending as a Central Office Technician. Lynn loved working on cars, especially his 1964 Ford Fairlane, hunting, fishing, traveling, surfing, but mostly loved spending time boating, cooking, eating and sharing stories with friends and his family. He was a man that could fix darn near anything, and would help anyone at any time. He left an indelible mark on all of the lives he touched and was dearly loved.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Sharon Chumbley; his siblings, Linda (Albert) Cerf, and Douglas Chumbley; his nieces and nephews, Angela (James) Carver, Wayne (Kacy) Chumbley, Pamela (Michael) Oslund, Jeffrey (Lindsay) Schmidt, Cynthia Cerf, and Andrea Cerf (fiancé Courtney Handy), along with his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Larry and Priscilla Schmidt and numerous great nieces, nephews and many other family members. He will be missed by his family and many other loved ones and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Wayne Donald Chumbley and Wanda Bell (Gilliland) Chumbley.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 pm. Visitation/reception will follow the funeral service until 9:00 pm. All services will take place on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Saint Peter's Chapel, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376.
