Lynn E. Polkinghorne

Lynn Elizabeth Polkinghorne, age 77, of Elsberry, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 19, 1946 to David and Virginia Hares (nee Talen).

Lynn loved spending time with her grandkids, being on the farm and taking care of her animals, gardening, and feeding the Hummingbirds. She spent 55 wonderful years married to the love of her life, Gary.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Gary Polkinghorne; son, Gary D. (Debbie) Polkinghorne; daughter, Jean (Chris) Davis; five grandchildren, Brekka Polkinghorne, Dakota Oebermann, Bailey Polkinghorne, Kayli (Ethan Musgrove) Oebermann, Virginia Polkinghorne; beloved furbaby, Gabby; and a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Virginia Hares; and sister, Kathy Cavanagh.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 4, 2024. Additional visitation time will be from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with a Funeral Ceremony at 11:00 am Friday, April 5, 2024 at St. Peters Chapel, Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 837 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Peters, Missouri 63376. Interment will take place at Troy City Cemetery, located on Boone Street, Troy, MO 63379.
