Sister Travis was proud of her 70 year history serving Jerusalem in many capacities under the leadership of the late Rev. James Andrew Morgan, the late Dr. Joseph Morgan, and current Pastor, Rev. JB Garris. She attended Sunday School, Mid-day Bible Study, sung in the Choir, she was always there to help cook and serve at church when needed for any type of occasion.
She worked as a nurse at St. Anthony Medical Center which entailed a variety of duties in the operating room, until she retired in 1995.
She was very independent, strong willed, extremely funny, loved driving her own vehicle. The Lord blessed her with many years of retirement, to do the things she loved. She loved to cook from scratch and use different recipes. Her favorite sports were football and boxing.
On Friday, February 19, 2021, sweetly sleeping the Lord called her to Rest. She leaves to cherish many memories, three children Linda (L.B.)
