Maria R. Stokley, age 77, of Chesterfield, Missouri passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 9, 2023. She was born in Tlaltenango, Mexico on July 4, 1946 to Manuel and Eustolia Corvera (nee Luna).
Maria is survived by her husband, Charles Stokley; children, Nancy (Jose) Martin, Charles Stokley, and Cristal (Mathias) Backer; grandchildren, Amber Stokley, Alexander Martin, Eric Martin, Isabel Backer, Mariela Backer, and Henry Backer; sisters, Eustolia (Filiberto) Contreras and Oliva (Rafael) Quiroz; and brothers, Marcos (Adela) Corvera and Arnulfo (Victoria) Corvera. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Corvera; and mother, Eustolia Corvera.
Maria was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was the brightest of lights, and now she is shining in Heaven.
